Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.

DON'T MISS ALL THE LAUGHS BY BEING DISTRACTED

We've joined forces with the TAC again to ask Melburnians to stand up for pedestrian safety, and keep their Heads up, Phones down!

The month long campaign will be rewarding pedestrians who are paying attention, making them the real VIP - the Very Intelligent Pedestrians.

Research shows up to 40% of pedestrians might be distracted by mobile phones when crossing the road which could lead to some pretty serious injuries.

That's why we haver to make sure Festival-goers stay focused on their surroundings and not their mobile phones when getting around. Remember, don't miss the laughs this Comedy Festival - put your phone away when you're on the street!

See how TAC and its road safety partners are making roads safer for vulnerable road users here.
