Congrats to the 40th Annual Green Room Awards recipients
A massive congratulations to Geraldine Quinn & Cameron Thomas, Samantha Andrew & Mel O'Brien and Game Boys Comedy, who were announced as winners in their categories at the Green Room Awards – Melbourne’s premier, peer-presented, performing arts industry awards – for their Melbourne International Comedy Festival shows.
Melbourne International Comedy Festival shows taking out the top honours at the 40th Annual Green Room Awards on Monday 29 May at Melbourne's Capitol Theatre were:
Best Production
- BROAD presented by Geraldine Quinn
Best Original Songs
- Samantha Andrew and Mel O'Brien for Shit-Wrecked! presented by Samantha Andrew and Mel O'Brien
Best musical direction
- Geraldine Quinn and Cameron Thomas for BROAD presented by Geraldine Quinn
Best artiste
- Geraldine Quinn for BROAD presented by Geraldine Quinn
Best ensemble
- Escape to the Megaverse (including technical crew) presented by Game Boys Comedy
A special shout out to Alex Hines, co-winner of the Best Performer Award for her show Juniper Rising presented as part of Melbourne Fringe, with an encore season at the 2023 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
