Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.

Dysphoria in Memoriam

Dysphoria in Memoriam

Han Arbuthnott’s expertly curated fundraiser for gender-affirming care is the best night I’ve had at the MICF yet. Featuring an all star lineup of local and international queer comics, including Rhys Nicholson, Kirsty Webeck, Geraldine Hickey, Lou Wall, Scout Boxall, and Chloe Petts. Han’s lineup created a healing and hilarious queer space—the energy in the room was infectious and I left beaming. I’d recommend you go but it was a one night only affair.
