I love lesbians making things! I love lesbian comedians!

Tarsh Jago's debut solo hour takes us from Davenport to Melbourne to Spain. Drawing on her experiences as a Palawa lesbian, Tarsh spins jokes and anecdotes that prove her knack for finding the humour in any situation. All the while, she provides a strong emotional core that keeps the audience engaged in sympathy and relatability.

Early on, Tarsh recalls being at the Adelaide Fringe earlier this year and wondering whether there would be an audience for her content. I, for one, hope so. Watching Cherub made me feel certain that I was witnessing an emerging talent, one that will grow and grow with more time and opportunity — I'll be watching this space.

Cherub is on at Paul's Place, Melbourne Town Hall at 6:10pm, 5:10pm on Sunday's.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.
