The Funny Tonne

Your Face or Mine?

Your Face or Mine?

Nina Conti brings her new show Your Face or Mine? to this year's festival with her widely renowned ventriloquism, which has been known to delight thousands around the world.

Whether audiences are being critiqued by a hilariously crude talking Monkey, or having new personalities with the help of some face masks (not that kind), Conti has the room in stitches within minutes.

Encouraging the audience to interact with Monkey onstage in a therapy session  is probably the bravest part of this show, resulting in deep snippets of people's lives and how Monkey confidently fixes them.

The use of side-splitting to describe the amount of laughter in Conti's venue the night of reviewing would be almost an understatement, and she is well worth seeing this festival.
