Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.

The Funny Tonne

None Of That Queer Stuff

None Of That Queer Stuff

Anna Piper Scott's None of that Queer stuff is a hilarious and insightful hour into gender and sexuality from the perspective of a neurodivergent trans-woman who swears she is not bisexual.

A well-structured stream of consciousness, this show journeys through the concepts of polyamory, monogamy and different kinds of relationships throughout history. Discussing her thoughts on each identifying group within her audience; Piper Scott performs her jokes and witty monologues in an highly impressive and polished manner.

A clearly researched and collaborated effort with director Andy Balloch (Killing Time, Am I the Drama?), Piper Scott's show most importantly stresses that you "do not have to be queer to live queerly", a beautiful sentiment championed by her loud and proud sold out audience.
