The Funny Tonne

Mouthcave Helicopter

Mouthcave Helicopter

Chris Marlton’s Mouthcave Helicopter is an ambitious character comedy show that never quite hits the mark.

Throughout the performance the audience is introduced to movie aficionado Garth Mosley, South African rocket scientist and cave diving expert Elon Gates. A stand out was Simon Thropp and his bio-hacks. Each hack is more absurd than the last, it’s five minute crafts on steroids. Despite the admittedly impressive accents and truly unique world-building it all feels a bit disjointed. Mouthcave Helicopter never really draws you in enough to properly enjoy the journey.
