Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.

The Funny Tonne

Scallop-toucher

Scallop-toucher

Sam Campbell’s Scallop-toucher has quite possibly the most hilarious and chaotic opening of any show at the festival. And it only gets wilder from there.

Campbell is probably best known for appearing on Taskmaster UK, but it’s a thrill getting to see purely him (bar a couple of perfectly curated cameos) onstage and to showcase his impressive skill for comedy. Scallop Toucher is silly but not without wit and bite. And with some of the best delivery going around. Campbell is one of the most original performers and every moment of his act feels like it has been perfectly crafted for maximum laughs. The crowd eagerly obliges. Seeing Campbell’s show is a bit like being in on the funniest joke. He might just be comedy’s worst kept secret, don’t miss out on seeing a full hour of Sam Campbell!
