Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.

The Funny Tonne

M is for Melbourne: The World’s Mostly* Liveable City

M is for Melbourne: The World’s Mostly* Liveable City

In this educational presentation, Julian O'Shea gives an A to Z of Melbourne terms, places and ideas about the city the audience is currently in.

Using an array of incredibly researched statistics and videos, O'Shea creates a wonderful performance where technically if people don't laugh, they're still learning something!

Encouraging those in attendance to cheer or boo for letters where they see fit, the show overall feels like an enriching and incredibly interesting experience where a collective identity was formed (to the expense of undercover ticket inspectors).

A show for Melbournians, those wanting to explroe, or just people really passionate about the festival's host city!
