The Funny Tonne

Connection Interrupted

Connection Interrupted

In this show Finn McGrath promises an hour of serious social commentary without being interrupted even once. It would be a spoiler to say if he’s successful in that, but Connection Interrupted is almost scarily well-written and witty for a debut solo show, seriously really impressive. McGrath’s onstage presence and energy is infectious as he seamlessly gets the crowd onboard with the workings of his brain, any and every topic is on the table, from DiDi to an ill-fated game of improv, all are truly hilarious and superbly created. Another highlight is the banter between McGrath and his underappreciated tech, Henry, the chemistry is great and has everyone in stitches as it plays out.

Pro tip: if you sit in the front row you may be lucky enough to be entrusted with the ‘fact check buzzer’, nothing bad could come of it.

You will leave this show thoroughly entertained and with a new respect for the actors in Kmart ads.
