The Funny Tonne

How To Tie A Tie

How To Tie A Tie

You might know Sam Taunton as a stand-up comedian, the funny one on The Project, and guy-who-you-saw-ordering-a-coffee-once-in-South-Yarra (ok that might only apply to me). His latest hour of comedy How To Tie A Tie is hilarious and delivered with Taunton's signature just earnest enough style.

One of Taunton's strengths lies in his personality which immediately gets the crowd onside, even as he pitches a new paedophile detection criteria or talks about his Dad's dog passing away.

His hilarious elevator small-talk story reminds me of when I shared a packed elevator with him after a taping of The Project, I didn't say anything for fear of saying something silly, but now realise I could never had said anything as weird as the woman from the story did.

How To Tie A Tie is 60 minutes but feels closer to five with how non-stop the laughs are, the ending is a perfect and strangly emotional call-back.
