Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.

The Funny Tonne

I'm Exhausting!

I'm Exhausting!

Felicity Ward is near unmatched in terms of unfiltered chaotic onstage energy. Her latest show I’m Exhausting is aptly titled as Ward covers everything from Motherhood to animal impressions. Ward has perfected the balance of controlled yet erratic delivery, you could be forgiven for thinking that much of the show is her off-the-cuff ideas. Her impressive skill at maintaining the high energy for the whole performance was for me sometimes held back by the overdone material about Melbourne cliches and gen z. Those topics are already fairly tired in my mind, so if they’re not going to be delivered in an entirely new way I think the show would be better without it. Ward is at her best when discussing taking antidepressants, family life and transitional lenses. Despite some gripes Ward is delightfully entertaining chaos.
