Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.

M is for Melbourne: The World’s Mostly* Liveable City

If your TikTok algorithm is anything like mine you’ve probably been served up Julian O’Shea’s entertaining and informative videos about Melbourne. In his show M is for Melbourne: The World’s Mostly* Liveable City he brings his trademark warmth, fun and genuine passion to the stage.

Starting at A and working his way through the alphabet the audience is invited to cheer or boo depending on how they feel about each concept, myki card inspectors of course getting the latter. Not only is the show really funny, with some very impressive props, but you’ll genuinely come away feeling like you’ve learned some interesting stuff! You will also come away with a renewed passion for jaywalking, and a handmade jaywalker badge!

Not enough MICF shows feature Julia Zemiro content but this one does, which furthers the pure enjoyment of the show. This is a love letter to Melbourne in the best way!
