The Funny Tonne

Never Gonna Die

Never Gonna Die

Maddy Weeks is nominated for Best Newcomer at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Watching this show it's easy to see why.

Never Gonna Die is Weeks’s MICF solo debut but they handle it seemingly effortlessly. This show is part storytelling and part battle cry as they chronicle a small-town childhood, sword obsession, and phobia of death. All weaved together by Weeks’s captivating style and fully-formed delivery with energy that is second-to-none. Each wild story is punctuated by hilarious punchlines, this is a performer who is not only talented but clearly loves their craft. Perfectly tying it all together at the end cements this as an excellent time. Maddy Weeks is a comedian that is going places, and it’s a delight to get the opportunity to see their solo debut!
