Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.

The Funny Tonne

Cult Sh!t

Cult Sh!t

Grace Zhang’s Cult Sh!t details her change from having a corporate job to being a stoner stand-up comedian. And dealing with disappointing her parents in the process. Ironically for a performance that talks so much about illicit substances I would have loved to have seen a little more substance from this show. That and a bit less reliance on ‘coercing’ audience reactions. Zhang is already a talented comedian with great storytelling chops and an eye for presenting a unique perspective. As she comes more into her own this member of Breast of the Fest will be one to watch.
