The Funny Tonne

Killing Time

Killing Time

Andy Balloch considers the time we have on this earth in a matter of weeks. In Killing Time, he shows the importance and responsibility we have to spend them wisely.

Telling the story of his grandmother and growing up in the 90s, Balloch recalls moments from his childhood and how significant they were to him discovering his identity. The hour is filled with both stories and sketches, with characters within these seemingly random but all intrinsically connecting-a testament to Balloch’s writing.

This show is an important look at existential topics, but goes about its subject matter in a delicate and mostly light-hearted manner. With his very patient tech Alex Winner providing a precise and hilarious sound design, Killing Time is yet another thought-provoking piece for this comedian to add to their repertoire.
