Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.

The Funny Tonne

Too Easy

Too Easy

Ivan Aristeguieta thinks that as a comedian, he has it too easy. Comparing his line of work to the audience’s, he reflects that his freelance career gives him time to do just that-reflect!

Diving into subjects such as etymology, relationships and even sumo wrestling, Too Easy is an amusing glimpse into how Aristeguieta’s mind examines the world around him and the people in it.

Crowd work is frequent and well-handled in this show, with audience members allowed to contribute in a brief discussion on where they have come from around the globe. This moment gives the performance a more personal feel, acknowledging and celebrating the diversity in audiences.
