The Funny Tonne

Mixtape

Mixtape

Cameron James’s Mixtape is about music, love, and the summer in 2009 that he worked as a singing Captain Jack Sparrow impersonator at a suburban dinner theatre restaurant. James has created comedy magic, this show could be a missing episode of Flight of the Conchords. His songs are flawlessly crafted, the charming mix of catchy and funny. James’s likeable persona is the perfect vessel for tales of first love, a first breakup and that time he nearly committed insurance fraud (we’ve all been there).

It’s hard to believe this is an hour-long performance with how fast it goes, the only clue is a face sore from laughing. Mixtape is one of the most fun shows I’ve seen, and had a surprisingly tender love-story at its heart. You will leave the performance grinning and with no less than three (3) hilarious songs stuck in your head.
