The Funny Tonne

Apocalipstik

Apocalipstik

In Apocalipstick, Reuben Kaye begrudgingly reveals that this particular show will not be all about him.

It is centred instead on his uncle, and the extraordinary events of his life in East Berlin and beyond. With a snazzy four piece band and a multitude of glamorous costumes, Kaye has arrived back in Melbourne in style.

Joe Noonan's set design transforms the stage into a grandious and powerful space for Kaye to play within, with a beautiful score under the musical direction of Shanon Whitelock.

The overall dramaturgy of this show has been approached with a great amount of detail, and Kaye's quick-fire one liners and moments of physical comedy make Apocalipstick a highly engaging night out!
